I sailed at Sea Lane, Worthing. Luckily I was on the inside when I noticed the wind switch, had one more run out, gybed on a wave and rode it back in. Then thought I'd gybe for just one more but was left with nothing in the sail when I flipped the rig. Plopped in and the oncoming set made my mind up. It ripped the gear away and I was lucky enough to flail an arm and hook a few fingers through a harness line, held on and dragged in with the kit. Then a few more foamy ones saw me back on the beach intact. The session was pretty good, with quite a chunky waist to chest high wave to start with at 9am. Riding was difficult cos of a bit of a wind shadow and a bit of lack of oomph in the waves. But, you could cut in close to the end of the big groyne and feel the set at its biggest, even if it didnt exactly reel down the line!! 5m sail was a good choice to get a bit more power on the inside. Some good high jumps, with others spinning loops here and there.
